cko ◊ 2016-07-13 06:14	Amazing that they found one in regular, unrestored condition to use. It seems like there are extremely few "ordinary" cars that middle class people drove still remaining in the UK, and most are customized or restored to show condition, not "used car" shape. A few of the cars in the film looked too old to still be seen on London streets in the late-70s. Others looked like anachronisms.
Lateef ◊ 2016-07-13 13:22	I spotted these automotive anachronisms: a two stat Golf I with the 1979+ bumpers, a Peugeot 305 seen parked outside the school, a Volvo 240/245 with the 1981+ front end and a 1983-84 Nissan Cherry in the far background. Otherwise, the visuals were very authentic in my opinion.

dsl ◊ 2016-07-14 22:52	A lot had disappeared, but there's a fair few survivors today so there must have been some around in 1977 - the newest would have only been 10 years old in 1977. My Maths teacher - "Toad" - had a gold 1967 Deluxe in late 70s.

dsl ◊ 2016-09-04 23:50	One car has XL rear badge and rear wiper, plus thick chrome trim on rear window. The US car has different wheel covers from most of the pictures, which seem to contain the genuine 1975 L. e225 is right that a 1975 L should have a newer grille format than seen in the pics.
