The engine capacity is 1360 cc - the VIN decoder probably sums it up as 1.4. |

The XY7 engine is usuallly considered a 1.4, as like its successor TU3 which shares the same capacity of 1360 cc. In the 205 range, the 1.3 is the Simca Poissy engine used for Spanish and Van models, in addition to the newer TU2 of the Rallye (again, sharing the same identical capacity of 1294 cc) -- Last edit: 2025-01-21 20:19:02 |

They were badged as 1.3 in Norway - I don't think the Poissy-engined version was ever sold here, so they are not to be confused. |

I didn't know that, made for N then. I guess the later TU-engined versions were badged as 1.4 then? |

Seems it wasn't only Norway, this British 205 is listed as 1360 cc but also has a 1.3 badge on the fender: Link to "www.mathewsons.co.uk" |

Uh ok. Strange, I regularly check Mathewsons auctions, I have seen this lot so many times and never paid attention to the sticker ![]() |

That's good to know, I never noticed such badge. |
