CLD 397 was Nov-Dec 1935, and it looks brand shiny new; location is Post Office stores compound with lots of cable-laying equipment. Writing in grille top badge might say Maudslay or even Leyland, but very difficult to read so other names very possible. Within the film it would make some sense for it to also be this bonnet in left edge .. but it's not - too many differences. |

GPO telephones Scammell K6 as here... https://www.britishtelephones.com/vehicles/flatbeds/026.htm The front of the vehicle on the left looks to be a Morris-Commercial C11/40 van also used by GPO telephones. https://www.britishtelephones.com/vehicles/flatbeds/195.htm /vehicle_731734-Morris-Commercial-C11-30-1936.html -- Last edit: 2019-09-28 21:18:34 |
