If it was a UK car, I'd cheerfully enter as 3000 GXL. I'm not sure if Germany built any 2300 GXL or 2600 GXL, but they did make some 3000 GXL using UK-built engines, according to my Capri book which makes it sound as if this was a funny little arrangement for only a small batch of engines and cars. But where did D-built 3.0 Granadas get their engines from?? If they had D-built engines, why such an odd arrangement in parallel for the Capris? Or is the book misleading and Dagenham shipped over thousands of 3.0 engines to supply the Granadas as well?? |

only Ford Capri MkI of some basic trims was officialy sold in CS via Tuzex for hard currency in small numbers...definitely not 3000 GXL. |
