I think he guesses, unless if he can see something we can't. I really hate it when people on the site guess the years, I wish they would just put the approximate years. |

It's a 1977 Impala, the taillights and grilles have changed slightly every year on the 1977-79 model. In 1977, the taillights are not separated with bright trim (the lenses have silver painted squares on them, which is often worn out) the 1978 has a much larger back-up light lens between the two brake lights and the 1979 went back to the smaller back-up light lems similar to the 1977 model but the taillights had two vertical bright metal divisions which are not seen on the car pictured... Look at the links below links to see the differences: Also note the wheelcover differences between the 1977 and 1978-79. 1977 Link to "memimage.cardomain.net" http://www.cardomain.com/ride/511084 This picture shows the 1977 wheelcovers: Link to "memimage.cardomain.net" 1978 Link to "memimage.cardomain.net" http://www.cardomain.com/ride/565580/5 1979 Link to "memimage.cardomain.net" http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2067027 If you do the same search for the 1977-79 Caprice, you'll notice that the trim is also different every year (and different from the Impala trim too). |
