The Clinomobil-Hospitalwerke GmbH of Langenhagen/ Hannover built these VW-based Clinomobil ambulances, as well as the Clinocopter between approx. 1961 and 1967. The company was founded in 1954 (apparently supported by Auto Union) and filed for bankruptcy around 1967. Each Clinomobil cost DM 75.000,-.  Langenhagen, not Hannover-Langenhagen. Although it has as Hannover 0511 as phone code, it was never a part of Hannover. Same with Laatzen and Hemmingen. |
