night cub ◊ 2015-10-10 23:43	They were never officially called "Beetle" by VW. They usually are "1200" or "1300" or such, and in the US "Sedan".
Danzie ◊ 2015-10-10 23:46	Oh I didn't know that, just found a page that says what the type 1 was called in all countries it was sold, so for Greece - Σκαθάρι ("Skathari", beetle), Σκαραβαίος ("Skaraveos", scarab), Χελώνα ("Chelona", turtle)

tore-40 ◊ 2015-10-11 01:33	With this view, a 1968-69 1300 or 1500, equipped with a sunroof. (1970+ had silver rims, 1971+ had cabin vents in C-pillar. 1200 kept the old bumpers.)
