I think this is a Freight-Rover than a Leyland DAF. Leyland DAFs had a shorter, taller side badge low on the door reading either 400 or City (on later SWB vans) and (from what I've found so far) a far smaller repeater: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7156/6548166731_afcc170e6a_b.jpg https://i.wheelsage.org/pictures/daf/400/autowp.ru_daf_400_1.jpg Freight-Rovers had the wider, shorter badge (compare against the swage lines running along the lower door) reading 300-something (Series?) and the wider repeater: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7275/7508792552_b3eec3c9f4_b.jpg Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" From what I can find the Hong Kong government fleet order came in in late 1987: So both Freight Rover or Leyland DAF would be possible there but as far as I can tell the other HK Police Leyland DAFs listed on IMCDB look fine as they are based on the available clues. -- Last edit: 2016-06-09 17:36:24 |
