Hi, I'm from Hong Kong. I know English, French, German and Italian. :)
I'm the European vehicle fans, and also the super fans of Stephen Chow.

My favourite vehicles:

*Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse [W126],
*BMW 3,
*VW Beetles,
*VW Vans,
*VW Typ 17,
*VW Typ 1H,
*VW Typ 1J,
*Mercedes-Benz [T1],
*Mercedes-Benz [LN2],
*Mercedes-Benz [NG].

I know not too much about the vehicles. Therefore, please kindly give me some revisions for the relevant information!

For anything about Hong Kong vehicle culture, you can find me! ;)

Here're the main points of Hong Kong vehicle culture:

1. Most of the vehicles are Japanese. Before 1980s there was the world of European and American cars. Then Japaneses defeat them: about 70%-80% of Hong Kong vehicles are Japanese, and 20%-30% are others, largely dominated by Mercedes-Benz, BMW 1 & 3, and VW Golf.
2. The car-yards of Hong Kong usually sell Japanese products. Some will import JDM cars from Japan.
3. Under Hong Kong law, only RHD vehicles can be registered as Hong Kong vehicles. Hong Kong doesn't allow LHD.
4. Hong Kong vehicles need to be inspected after 6 years old (calculated from the day firstly-registered). During inspection, the tyres, the lights and the pipes are the main issue.
5. Hong Kong people stress more on fuel cost and maintainance cost. This is why Japanese cars are common.
6. Hong Kong have first registration tax when importing a vehicle. Hong Kong government prefer increasing first registration tax, to discourage Hong Kong people to buy a car.
