1941 Buick Special Sports Coupe? [Image: 1941buickspecialsportscly5.8923.jpg] I couldnt get the thumbnails to open, so this is a guestimate based on the large pic, comments?

It is a postwar Chrylser make, most likely a 47 Dodge Business Coupe. The slanted pillar behind the door identifies it as a Chrysler, while the front fender continuing through the door, the smaller rear wheel opening, and the balls on the the top of the bumper guards (I loaded the other pics) show it to be 1946-1948. I couldn't find any web pics of the trunk area in order to narrow it down more. I wish I could see the tail lights!

Don't think this is a Chrysler product. It's more a GM one

Yes it does. My latest find:

http://www.americandreamcars.com/1947windsorclubcp060305.htm

http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/230108.html (good pic of trunk area)

The tail lights are indeed indicative of Chrysler, sitting on top of the rear fenders. The Dodge and Plymouth tail lights were mounted in contour to the fenders, and De Soto lights are long and vertical with similar placement.

There is also a script below the hood trim line in front of the passenger door, but I wouldn't be able to read it.

Thank you for the shot. I specialize in 1950-1964, but with enough information at my disposal, I can find just about anything. I'm glad I found this site!

1947 Chrylser Windsor Club Coupe
1947 Chrysler Royal Coupe

no better identification unless you read the script under the chrome line on the side of the hood (Did Royals even have such script?)

Thanks 58Roadmaster. On my normal computer, the pictures were not very clear and that's why I had some doubts.
Yesterday evening, I looked thoses pictures on a very big and large screen. What a difference ....and of course it was visibly a 1947 Chrysler

:king:
