here the whole story in german: Fross-Büssing: Im Jahre 1908 heiratete Büssings Tochter Hedwig (genannt "Hete") den Wiener Maschinenbauer Anton Fross. Dieser gründete 1909 in Wien-Brigittenau eine Maschinenfabrik, die ab 1915 unter dem Namen Fross-Büssing Lastkraftwagen unter Lizenz des Schwiegervaters produzierte. Die für Österreich-Ungarn erworbene Lizenz erlaubte nach dem Zusammenbruch der Habsburgermonarchie die Errichtung eines weiteren Fross-Büssing-Werkes in Prag, das als Tavarna na stroje Anton Fross-Büssinga Liberta von 1920 bis 1931 bestand. Das Wiener Werk lieferte ab 1928 den Großteil der Autobusse für den öffentlichen Verkehr Wiens vor 1945 (mehr als 100 von insgesamt rund 130 Einheiten), wurde aber nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges stillgelegt. |
