'380 SE' I think? -- Last edit: 2007-01-21 15:36:01 (antp) |

I think the Datsun is more interesting.... |

Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse [W126] |

But it is the Mercedes that has a role. It can indeed by a 380 SE (1979-1985 then) -- Last edit: 2007-01-19 13:57:36 |

that Datsun is quite rare... |
◊ 2007-01-19 18:07 |
that Mercedes-Benz isnt used at all, dont see the point of adding two stars. |

Isn't there anything that happens with that bike coming? Else use the thumbnail image for the Mercedes (as anyway it is more visible there) and the main image for the Datsun... -- Last edit: 2007-01-19 18:15:00 |

Although the bike hits it doesnt mean it has to have two stars... |

But with a guy opening the door, which generates the accident, for me it is more a minor action than a background car. It is not like if the bike crashed itself alone. |

it doesnt deserve 2 stars because a guy opens its door |

Sorry Adrian, but I agree with Antoine though I've not seen the film... On what explains Antoine, there is an interaction of this car in the story, as minor as it is that justify attribution of 2 stars. |
◊ 2007-01-19 18:34 |
yes but, see this Sixcyl: /vehicle_71420-Mazda-RX-2-1971.html its more used than this one at some point, and Antoine agreed at the time with me.. so? |

1 star, 2 stars , 3 stars... It's a scale, with threshold effect between each step... so we must assume that there are several degrees for affectation of a same step of stars... there are 2 stars vehicle appearing few seconds (like in this case ) and in other hand, there are vehicles in scene for several minutes but still deserving 2 stars and not 3 ... |

I've always wondered whether people getting in or out of cars without the car actually moving qualifies it as a 2 star vehicles. Or if they walk towards or away from cars implying that have exited or will be entering the cars. I mean it implies that the character has travelled in the car (off camera), which does mean it relates to the action and isn't a background vehicle that doesn't get "used" in the sequence of events. |

That's not the same thing. There is nobody in that car, it is just parked there. I do not see in what that is "more use" than a car where the door is open and that causes something. In the Mercedes there is a guy (very minor role, but an "actor" anyway) that does something with the car. Same for a car that is driving on the road and that hits the main character's car. -- Last edit: 2007-01-19 19:06:39 |

This part of the scene is a bit of a gag or joke. The bike is weaving between the stopped cars and the guy in the M-B opens his door right in the path of the approaching bike. Instead of the rider being knocked-off his bike the car door comes clean off and the guy waves his arm at Candy who grins. So the car and the driver is part of the action so worth two stars I think. I have a few more cars to add so I will also add the Datsun as it could be quite rare. |

I swapped the two pictures, so the Datsun has a different image from the Mercedes |

Also, a Chevy Camaro and a Toyota Corolla |

The Camaro appears to be a 1978-81 Z28 |
