1960-62, and nothing less than a 1500.

4x4peru, is the MY still 1960-62?

I defer to Ddey65 or eLMeR for model year of this series. It does have front drive axle which is not so common for that period.

Ddey65 wrote 1960-62, and nothing less than a 1500.

There was only 3 possibilities as Wide-Side models in 1960 (short ½-on 1000, ¾-ton 15000 and 1-ton 2500, with no common wheelbase. Same thing for the Fenderside models), but the 4WD option was only available for the 1000 and 1500 models.
This one has obviously the long 127"/3.23 m wheelbase (to be compared to the small 115"/2.92 m one), making it a K-1500.

At most a 1500 :D

1960-61 hood. Unlike Chevrolet, no possibility to differentiate more the model year (1).
And in GMC literature, a K-1500 on the 2nd available wheelbase (127") gives it the K-1502 internal code, as, unlike for Chevrolet trucks, the bed option wasn't used to determinate the "chassis code".

_____

(1: talking about this, the hood end that one can see in the right part of the picture is the one of a 1961 only Chevrolet C/K-Series truck, due to the shape of the park lamp. From what is visible in taco's thumb, I'd say a short C-10 Apache Fleetside)

My mistake, there was 4 possibilities for the Wide-Side models: I forgot the long 1000 which had the 127" wheelbase too (see the excerpt of the 1960 brochure). So this one is either a K-1000 or a K-1500. Back to K-Series "only"...

@ 4x4peru:
Why a ½-ton K-1000 and not a ¾-ton K-1500?
(As a K-1000 model made on the 2nd wheelbase of GMC, it would have a K-1002 GMC code)

I see nothing to suggest 3/4 ton in this pic. Long wheelbase with 1/2 ton rear axle.
