Updated info: this was a UK built car commissioned by Benbros Ltd and fully prepared by BL Special Tuning at Abingdon (rather than Triumph at Canley which did not do customer builds) so strictly speaking a private entry although with factory blessing and co-operation. Lots of problems during rally - they hit an antelope and smashed the radiator (but replaced it with one from a 2000 they found sitting in someone's driveway), stripped several gears due to design weakness, had the rear window pop out, and eventually the whole body rear end began to break away from cabin so had to be strapped up.
