I can't get away from thinking Bedford, but with a coachbuilt cab like a parcels delivery truck. -- Last edit: 2014-12-29 21:36:41 |

It does not quite look right to me an a Bedford but possibly a 1939 Dodge 40 series 1½-2 ton, 60 series 2-3 ton or 80 series 3-4 ton. It looks to have an extended crew-cab and yes as a more modern truck possibly a parcels van, but here I suspect its another type of special purpose vehicle. It quite possibly made an appearance in the CM Archives (there was probably a fleet of these vans) but finding it would be pure luck I think. |

I found the movie yesterday and I managed to get a screen capture, I settled again firstly on Dodge but the bonnet and radiator cap is not right. Agree that there is a better than 50% chance it was a Bedford and possibly a 1936 Bedford WLG 2-Ton. Wheel design and wing shape the form of the bonnet and filler cap plus possible horizontal louvres in bonnet sides. |

One thing about this site, we do keep trying! Most others seem to have the retention span of an amoeba on a gas ring. -- Last edit: 2021-03-21 17:05:20 |
