The bus to the left is a DAF SB200DKDL554 -Hainje bus of ENHABO, ex GVB Amsterdam. This is the standard citybus introduced in 1965. It was in standard dark red colors in almost all cities. When Amsterdam sold some to its then-subsidiary ENHABO (operating from Amsterdam to Zaandam) they received that company's drab brown colors. The yellow buses are NZH ones, the company that operated a large area in North and South Holland. It is most likely a Leyland-Verheul LVB668 -Verheul of 1967. These were the first series of standard buses. They had grey seats and a somewhat higher lower window line which makes that one does not see the seat backs. Later Leyland and DAF -Den Oudsten had somewhat deeper windows which makes that one can see the seat backs. Except for the very very first Den Oudstens which makes that this one could also be NZH series 2004-2012, Leyland-Den Oudsten LOB -Den Oudsten of 1969. Those were ex NACO and operated on the route shown in the picture (near Amsterdam Central Station). |
