Error: Model is "E-450". Extra info is "Super Duty". |

For the F-Series we include that in the model name, it would be logical to do the same for the E-Series, no? Or is it different? -- Last edit: 2014-10-29 18:11:19 |

Apparently the Super Duty is at the extra field ![]() /search.php?resultsStyle=asList&sortBy=0&make=Ford&model=E-450&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on |

Hence my question... why did we do it differently between the E-Series and the F-Series |

The F-Series Super Duty is a completely different vehicle from the F-150, where the E-Series Super Duty is directly related to the regular models. |

Never knew why and there is the answer. @antp to make matters more confusing prior to 1999 Ford made the E-Super Duty chassis from 1996-1998. This was basically an E-450 before Ford unveiled the F-Super Duty and E-Series nomenclature. We have a few E-Super Duty [E-450]'s listed but the only way to differentiate from an E-350 is the badge or the rear axles/wheel arches. The E-450s on the earlier Econoline/E-Series have larger rear axles that stick out further. E-450's normally have larger tires but the E-350 DRW can have, as optional, larger E-450 tires but it looks funny. Hope that helps. |
