That is my 1960 Edsel. It was parked on Vine Street in Hollywood, in front of a multistory blue screen, in a lot across the street from the Capitol Records tower, for this film shot. All six cars were there but the lawn and building they were parked by, was not. It is one of two 1960 Edsels in that film's opening credits sequence. The other, a Sahara Beige vehicle, belonged to Jim Popp of Maryland. His car drives in the credit sequence, and was actually filmed in DC. It is undoubtedly the only opening film credit with two different 1960 Edsels together, that was filmed with the cars 3000 miles away from each other. |
