Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse [W126] - appears to have the 1986+ wheelcovers |

alloys ![]() |

I always assumed they were wheelcovers O.O |

Maybe there was a poverty-spec plastic wheelcover-version as for the previous BBS "Barock"-alloys, but actually they are alloys. Even with an own nickname, at least in Germany: "Gullideckel-Felgen" = "manhole cover rims", because the common German sewer cover has a similar styling: Link to "www.google.de" - have your noticed, that these alloys are among the Google-results? ![]() P.S. The (officially top secret) covers of the ducts, where explosive charges should have been placed ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprengschacht ) , when the Cold War became hot (the WWIII would have started in Germany), had a bit different design: Link to "www.google.de" ![]() -- Last edit: 2013-08-17 23:12:19 |

Astonishing detective-work as usual, Ingo ![]() |
◊ 2013-08-25 10:28 |
With "detective work" you mean the effort for "Let's find a mistake from Lateef"? ![]() For the other topics no detective-work was neccessary. It's just immediately available general knowledge ![]() P.S.The first question was indeed debated at /vehicle.php?id=602037 , caused by dsl's question "What do you think, which IMCDb-ist may have the biggest knowledge?" -- Last edit: 2013-08-25 10:34:37 |

Actually it's a 100m yacht, moored in Monaco at the moment. We each get to borrow it for a week every 6 months. |

@ingo: To amuse you while your wait for the adminship to respond, here's another North Korean film with scenes filmed in Germany. ![]() http://youtu.be/ludBMJb_qZg |

![]() ![]() I think, that some indoor-scenes were made in the DPRK. With a plenty of Western alcoholic beverages as wannabe-hints. At the first indoor scenes, I thought " ![]() ![]() ![]() The scenes with the "South Korean Presidental Palace" (or so?) after 0:23 were definitely from North Korea (incl.the JDM-car). Every detail of buildings, garden and street-pavement is real DPRK-style. Maybe we should not let dsl see the brutal torture at 0:33 ![]() |

Very interesting is from 1:23: onwards. Which car is maybe on the blurry pic in the newspaper? And which newspaper may it be? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
◊ 2013-08-25 16:56 |
@ingo: According to the uploader it was made in 1994-1995 (this is just the first part). It's based on the life of Korean composer Isang Yun: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isang_Yun The scene with the secret agents is the abduction of Yun from West Berlin, by South Korean agents, in 1967, so there was clearly no attempt at historical accuracy. ![]() |

"Erziehung und Wissenschaft"? |
◊ 2013-08-26 12:34 |
The newspaper? Rather not. I never touch this for idelogical reasons, but for those specific ideological reasons it's unlikely, to find advertises for cars -especially for fun cars as Cabriolets and really especially with a slightly sexistic text- in it ![]() |

P.S. Something for IMGarageDoorDriveDb: that in the marvellous torture-scene after 0:32 is most probably from http://www.hoermann.de/torantriebe/garagentorantriebe/ |

When the pretty girls are there, there is surely also a sign that says 'Gamer: No!' ![]() |

Do you want to talk about it? |
◊ 2017-03-01 18:45 |
I wouldn't be able to get on there anyways, as it's called the admin ship for a reason. |
