Because this Speedster has all original parts, original wheels (not VW chrome wheels), original turn signals, original chrome parts, upholstery, windshield, top frame etc... The bumper and the body have the curves of the original Speedster. All Speedster replicas have the rear slightly wider than the original because the rear track of VW Beetle chassis is slightly wider than the Porsche... O.k., this specific car is clearly identifyable, thanks for the infos. Because the masses of replicas, you should be very distrustful. At the 356 Speedster it's the same as with the Ford GT40 and the AC Cobra: if you see them, you generally think "annother repro-fake". Accepting it as an authentic car, only happens with having comprehensible proofs. |
