That is subject to debate. Yes it has an AMC badge from 1983-86 on the rear glass, however the exterior design and engine are from Renault, thus making a French origin. |

No, there's nothing to debate. The two-door-version and the convertible are too far away from the French original wth 4 doors, that it doesn't deserve the "origin France"-tag. We have a plenty of other derivate-cars, built in a different country with much less differences to the original, listed as origin from the country, where the derivate was built. |
