Collectors and restorers don’t normally seek out base work-versions like this one; they always head for the luxury ones. Still this one could have made a great donor vehicle, as it had no visible rust, the stainless-steel grille trim and chrome-plated front bumper could have been salvaged as they looked mint. I bet the cab was also in mint condition, before the claw clamped down on it. If anything, it makes the survivors even more rare and valuable. It was a 1981-1982 GMC C-1500 Sierra Wideside
