(titlecard missing) 1978 made-for-TV family drama about a man who, while riding in a state-of-the-art tractor, reflects on that childhood winter where he was sent to live with his grandparents and help out on their farm during the Great Depression. His surly grandfather, still grieving the loss of his son during WWI, strongly dislikes his grandson at first but comes to love the kid. While trying to deliver his late son's pump organ to the church as a donation, a very unexpected face turns up! Set mostly during the Great Depression, with the prologue taking place in the present day. Airdate: December 20th, 1978 |
