I don't think it is a Bentley Continental. Any other, better shots? |

no, this is the only take, it reminds me of similar scene, with Bentley supposed to be the producer´s car, and we never could identify coachbuilder. first impression was that of british make with italien influence, and the grille mask looks like Bentley, think it is extreme rare, and someone wanted to have his car in his movie. -- Last edit: 2013-01-23 02:31:15 |

Something French coachbuilt from early 50s?? Delahaye, Talbot, Salmson???? Doesn't smell British, and is smaller than a Bentley would have been. |

Delahaye have to do some homework. |

coachbuilder could be Saoutchik http://www.amicale-salmson.org/images/rando.jpg don´t think it is Salmson Randonnee coupe Saoutchik |

Rear wing here looks finned, not smooth or rounded. Other possibilities might be Delage or Hotchkiss, but I'm guessing wildly. |

We could, but the shame and embarrassment would remain for a long time ...... |

okay, still marauding british luxury coupes like Lagonda Link to "slatford.co.uk" not fined wrong fender line, but same class |

Somehow does not look UK to me, but could be wrong. The biggest difficulty is finding anything with the dipping bodyline on the door and a single piece windscreen. |

WOW! That's a Jaguar bodied by Spohn in 1957. I'm unsure of the model, I'll upload a picture in a second. Incredible find! |

awesome, maybe this certain car is the last creation of Spohn Ravensburg http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=19382.0 they have a discussion going on if it is 3,4 litre or MK VII Link to "www.autopuzzles.com" photo was published in Auto Motor & Sport 1957 the cluster of lights and grille made me believe in british car at first sight http://www.motorstown.com/images/jaguar-mk-vii-02.jpg the grille + jaguar mascot are the only parts spend by MK VIII the side grille is that of MB 300SL -- Last edit: 2013-01-25 02:21:29 |

Spohn well known for Maybach creation, but Maybach ordered from Saoutchik as a consolation. http://www.maybach.de/images/127.jpg -- Last edit: 2013-01-25 02:58:27 |

Nobody could really accuse Spohn of improving the post-WW2 cars he worked on from the evidence at http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=12486.0 , but some of the 1930s models look good - Link to "www.coachbuild.com" . -- Last edit: 2013-01-25 03:34:20 |

If 1957, we can say Mk.VIII - which tallies with the grille and windscreen. Not pretty, though ... -- Last edit: 2013-01-25 08:48:12 |
