Why "Elf Turbo"? |

I was trying to fit the 'Elf' name in somewhere, as their name for the car is Renault-Elf + Turbo 4x4.! |

Looks like the Turbo 4X4 Europa Cup (1988-89) demonstration model, also used by Claudio Giovanardi. A one make series run for 2 seasons - Link to "www.forum-auto.com" , http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116624 . |

This is ont a Europa Cup version, which was only 2 wheel drive and kept its standard wheelarches. This one here is the Supertourisme version. The aerodynamics are a bit more sophisticated, and it's indeed 4 wheel drive, hence the Quadra name (before Audi complained). |
