I always struggle with these but it looks wide enough to be an RTW. They were used on the 39 Route. -- Last edit: 2012-11-10 09:49:05 |

Leyland Titan PD2 I'd say. |

The RTL and RTW were London Transport classes of bus based on the Leyland chassis. They were very much Londonised, and closely resembled the AEC Regent RT buses, even having some of the controls changed to resemble the AEC. -- Last edit: 2012-11-10 14:57:28 |

Not sure this is wide enough for an RTW, I'd say RTL-class. |

It's a RTL. Two things says it's not a RTW, the registration and a good recognition point for you RTW fans, the bodies were made by Leyland as a good mimic of a RT type body. Leyland used a rubber surround on the front and back destination apertures which give it a 'black outline' plus more of the advertisement went 'round the corner' on a RTW. It's registration is LYR *** , not a letter combination used on RTWs Can't make out the numbers but on RTLs LYR759 was RTL 1227, and LYR961 was RTL1313, so you can now work out any stock number within that block.
