Again the most common goof in scenes, set in WWII: the headlights aren't concealed. |

Pics from war-times? I cannot find the source any more, but I'm quite sure, that I've read something about the concealing rules in the Third Reich. They were quite exact and detailed, ad it was even said, in what a period they were valid. IIRC during the whole WWII in all areas of Germany and in the occupied countries, too ( http://www.amaot.de/bunker/img/verdunkeln.jpg ) There were even specially made light bulbs for that purpose [@rjluna2: sorry, I cannot find the pic any more, I've shown you once ) |

@ingo: Re special lightbulbs, do you mean the Nachtmarschgerät or something else? Link to "www.kfzderwehrmacht.de" |

@Gag: no, it was a pic of a regular 220 V-household bulb, covered with black paint. It was an official OSRAM-product, that I remember, too. |

Indeed, ingo. There are blackout bulbs out there. I have seen them at the lighting gallery website Here is a few pictures that one member from Netherlands posted at Lamps from WW2 |

sorry for my absence here. Coming back to the topic of concealed headlights. I know this rule about headlights, but here You can find some examples of archive war photos: http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Opel_Blitz_3t_S_Tarnanstrich_Terlisten.jpg Link to "www.rumvi.com" http://cs425523.vk.me/v425523072/2e65/ibgtQ_8_rsE.jpg I'm not saying that it was normal. I just say that there was cars, motorbikes and trucks without concealed headlights. I have many more photos in my collection.
