This truck was actually a 1973 Kenworth W-900 A that had the 50th Anniversary Kenworth Logo on it that had a 1693 Cat Engine in it and that was owned by Ken Pebley at the time it was used to be apart of the filming of Smokey and the Bandit Supposedly it was bought brand new by Ken Pebley and his wife ended up selling the truck after Ken had ended up passing away in I think around 2004 So, The truck has actually disappeared since 2004 and next year from now 2004 will have been 20 Years Ago, So, With truck not resurfacing in 19 Years ever since it has disappeared in 2004 it is likely that the truck will never resurface ever again and is probably more than likely gone today There has been rumors going around the internet that Joe Klecko who was a famous football player had owned this truck at one time or another during it's life which is completely untrue as Ken Pebley had bought the truck brand new in 1973 This truck was famously known for the dual stacked front bumpers it had at the time of filming Smokey and the Bandit, But, Over the years after it was seen in Smokey and the Bandit that was switched a couple of times over the years with first a gull wing front bumper and than later a Texas style front bumper |
