This was actually filmed outside Hope, British Columbia. When something of this size broke down in the middle of nowhere it was just easier to leave it then tow it to a junkyard. So while not full, stumbling across a old truck is not unheard of.

This same truck may actually be still in this same location today. Jump to 3:00 in this (sort of) recently-shot video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI1iRRm0UrI

I just paused the movie to look this up since it's interested me since I was little...the truck is in fact still there along with much of the other stuff in that junkyard:

That being said, the truck is not a Diamond T, but a 1960-ish White. Look at the shape of the doors, front bumper, rear window, fenders/headlamps and the box with ductwork (air intake?) on the passenger side, and I think you'll agree with me after seeing the following pictures.

Interestingly enough, Diamond T wound up being a subsidiary of White at some point.

1963 model:

Seems 1960-1963 were set up the closest to the configuration of this truck, one of the current photos shows the truck's hood back in place, so maybe it was on the ground nearby. You can see the spot on the paint where the White Diesel emblem was.
