sixcyl wrote Morris Commercial ?

Closest I get is this one:

But I am not sure that it is a Morris-Commercial.

It looks a little similar to an Austin FL1 or FX3 taxi to me, even some of the grill details.

But I don't know that a van version was ever made, and the Austin 8 or 10 had a different grill design.

The London Evening Standard van fleet could possibly have been large enough for a special van version but I still think it unlikely.

Austin is more like it.

What do you say about Austin 16:

Alexander, the radiator grill for the Austin 8, 10 or 16 still seems to be sloped back more than the movie van. Also in the thumbnail picture I think I can see the grill more clearly and it looks to have the divided vertical section from the FX3 taxi or hire car.

From UnofficialAustinRover website.....

"Being built on a sturdy separate chassis, the FX4 and FL2 – like their predecessors – were well-placed to receive the attention of specialist converters.

For a while in the 1960s, they found favour with the publishers of the London Evening Standard as the basis for a newspaper delivery van, with the super-tight turning circle being particularly appealing."

With this information and the movie pictures I am more confident in saying that they could have had van conversions made for London newspaper deliveries based on the earlier FX3 taxis or hire car in the 1950s as well.

Comparing the two radiator grills.....

The vertical divided centre section I believe is the same plus the movie van has two bright highlights to the left of the centre section next to and below the headlight position that correspond to chrome trim on the taxi image.

Sounds very convincing, Sunbar.
Here is another view of the front:

Then it is being declared an 'Austin FL1 Newspaper Delivery Van'.

Definitely an Austin FL1/FX4. These vehicles were a common sight in London in the late '50s and early'60s, along with the contemporary taxicabs.
