-- Last edit: 2006-07-29 16:13:33 |

For me that song always reminds "La mort douce" of Benoit Sokal. |

Nice to hear it again! That prompted me to search the web. Here are some more versions in all sorts of languages: http://ingeb.org/garb/lmarleen.html |

But the real Lilli Marleen is for me Lale Anderson http://www.lale-andersen.de/index1.htm -- Last edit: 2006-07-29 20:32:22 |

I just listend to the Finnish version. Very interesting, but the Finnish Lilli Marleen has a rather low voice... http://eri.ca/refer/lilimar9.MP3 |

This song belongs to the WWII in France, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQtHZeyIfrM Strange, that it's now used by Renault in that TV-Clip:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrcAuoMNAHY It was played by the Wehrmacht-radio-stations as a warning about fraternisation and spionage, but it went to the most popular song except "Lili Marleen". |

I think it might be this one, both filmed at the Bavaria studios: /vehicle_453549.html Why don't we use the thumbnail as a main pic, so much more visible there. |
