^ that one you linked is an official police car. This one is not. Unless it was badly beaten, door changed, decals all removed, and color changed?

Do you really think I've not noticed any of these things?! You're using supcoach school bus logic. It is not "an official police car" in Lewis it is a prop car used by a film company. It started its life as a police car, for sure, (I would possibly say in Lancashire by the number plate, and not in the South of England where these programmes were made) and it was clearly then used as a police car for TV stuff after it was retired and auctioned off.

If you ran a prop company and you were asked for a car to be dressed as an exaggerated beater for a TV production, would you find another Astra and mess with it, or just use the old police one you had sat round the back, which by 2010 was two versions of Astra out of date and too old to be a convincing police car? It'll be far from the only car on here to have changed colour between appearances and the lack of rear badges kind of fits with them being removed for police markings or a re-paint too. It's also a very low spec Astra, which corresponds with the police/fleet spec. The beaten up look is a bit exaggerated too, the silver paint is flat like it was a quick repaint, at this point you didn't really see cars with mismatched panels and tape on the bumper is the preserve of Ford Mondeos.

Why are you getting so mad and upset? I never have a problem changing an entry back and admitting being wrong.

If I owned a prop company I would buy a beater and grab the plate from the real one so I wouldn’t have to register/inspect. I was simply stating it doesn’t appear to be the same one but merely a borrowed plate from the real one.

I’ll revert back the info and year to the plated one. No harm. No foul. You don’t have to bite my head off. I always welcome a nice debate and friendly banter.
