@ Ingo *Prost* Es geht doch nichts über ein gutes Pils. |

In my opinion, this is the perfect beer: http://www.biertest-online.de/grafik/gebindegross/berger_maerzen.jpg |

@blue thunder: correct Also much better than the stuff, which is popular just a few kilometers westwards from my home: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altbier or, just a few kilometers south of that area, the /vehicle.php?id=166529 An important advice for all, who will come sometimes to the Rhineland: the borderline, also the geographic one, between the Altbier-area and the Kölsch-area is very sharp! Never ever order the wrong beer in the wrong town! |

@ Ingo I've you're planning a trip to Austira, don't forget to try "Trumer Pils". And on a warm summer day like today, try Kaiser Premium Radler Naturtrüb. A bit expensive and not available in every supermarket or liquor store, but you won't regret it . Usually, we drink Maerzen Bier in Austria instead of Pils beer. |

@blue thunder: the IMCDb-ists are spreaded too widely, that it's possible to do, what we in our plate-collector-forum have made 3 weeks ago: a user-barbeceue-party. Not only for nerdic plate-spotting, also for culinaric reasons. Every participant (we came from whole Germany) has brought local specialities, especially beer from his home-area. At first we had to convince a fellow, living in the far Northwestern edge of m.pfaffeneder-country, to invite us - because this region is well known for delightful regional food and beverages |
