I doubt that blue VW is the Bullit bug, but I read somewhere that bug with the stripe was an ex-Herbie from the last 2 films with some of the decals removed\painted over and the false sunroof cover removed. Though with the skinny wheels I'm thinking that its from the short Herbie TV series, in some of those shots it looks like theres a section of the roof that wasn't even painted white like the rest of the car. That and like almost every Herbie movie car one of the headlights is pushed in. |

The main picture were sold with 1500 engine only in our market which was introduced in 1967 model year. We dropped the engine size badge after 1966 model year in our market. |

The Herbie you guys bring up in the comments is indeed a car that came from Herbie Goes Bananas and the television show. The same car appearing multiple times throughout the show was I think something intentional the producers did. |
