Oh well, this is a US-spec Disco I (note lights on plastic bumper caps), thus it is a V8. Discos were introduced in the US in 1994. The alloys are 'Freestyles', with were not originally included in the first 1994 imports, so maybe the 1996 date indicated by appassionato could be right. If someone remembers when the 'XS' models were presented, they were the first ones to show that pattern. |

They have gotten better since then, however a recent study made by Consumer Reports concluded that the LR3/Discovery and Range Rover still had reliability problems and rated them (reliably wise) as "below average". The Range Rover in particular has had lots of little electrical gremlins. The engines and transmissions seem sound enough. |
