Yes indeed as that is what U-Haul uses. |

I have been meaning to ask, why we don't use the chassis code of G-x500 for these vans? I know GM still uses them because when I take our 2003 Express 3500 and our 2000 Express 2500 in for service at the local dealership, when they enter the VIN it comes back as G-3500 and G-2500 respectively, and similarly my 2000 Silverado is VINed as C-1500. |

They are mostly known to the public by their numeric designations (1500, 2500, etc) as opposed to the G-x500 designation. Especially since on their website and on brochures, GM only uses the simplified numeric designations: http://www.chevrolet.com/light-dutyvehicles/ The G-x500 and C-x500 designations appear to be more "in-house" or technical designations, if you will. They are not familiar like the simple numeric designations. |
