Alexander ◊ 2006-07-08 17:07	From these images I cannot tell if it is an M2 or M3 version. As White designed the halftracks and most of White's halftracks were M2 I would suggest to use that name.

I can alxays try to find the right picture in the episode.

The halftracks can be identified by the shape of the front wings (White et al. or International Harvester) and by the lenght (and shape) of the body (M2/M3 or M5/M9), which means I need to see the rear part. If some special equipment is mounted (howitzers, a/a-guns, mortars) the number would change, too. The mark numbers (A1, A2,...) are a bit difficult, as quite a few older versions got a (field) retrofit and look like later versions. Therefore I stopped using them ... at least for the moment. This one looks like a "pick-up". Could this one and the other White M2 be the same. Should I put both together? -- Last edit: 2006-07-08 18:25:36

Mine was used in "Tobruk" (67), Raid on Rommel" (71), "Midway" (76), "The Bionic Woman" (77), and "Airwolf" (85). And it was on the Universal Studios "Back Lot Tour" until 1993. Harold B ◊ 2024-11-28 16:58	ID of M15 is wrong, it's not the same vehicle the previous commenter thought it was. It can't be an M15 because that had a whole turret occupying the bed, which if it was removed would leave the back end looking like a bare chassis. Based on the fold-down sides I believe this is an M2. -- Last edit: 2024-11-28 17:20:45
