Could it be something left over from the war? |

The cabin looks very French, though. |

Bizarre radiateur ! C'est peut-être une création unique d'un carrossier français ? |

Alors, toujours pas ? Un, euh… un Laffly allégé ? |

Le volant est au centre des trois places de la cabine. The lorry has a centre steering wheel. |

Bon, le volant est à droite, contrairement à ce que j'ai bêtement indiqué. Peut-être un Panhard. |

Il semblerait que ce soit un radiateur "en coupe-vent" (à deux pans, quoi) auquel la grille manque. |

No, André. Latil with the M2B3D, or Berliet VDCN, for instance, had suicide doors too. But, but, but… those are not this one. (Boys, I'm working very hard to try to name this one!) |

Un Panhard, c'est presque sûr, à cause de la forme caractéristique du radiateur. Un K93, un K96 comme celui-ci https://picasaweb.google.com/pl1891/PANHARDCAMIONK96SansSoupapes# ou un K113. |

Ouais ! C'est écrit ! On l'a (presque) eu ! |

I'm not convinced that this would be a Panhard & Levassor. Pre-war truckswith a 'long nose' had one-piece grilles somilar like on the Panoramique. And as far as I know post-war Panhard only made cab-over-engine trucks... |

There are many exemples of pre-war P&L with this type of nose, covered by a grille which is here missing. Most of the Ks: http://minitracks.forumpersos.com/t2348-camion-panhard-avant-1940-a-identifier Link to "www.kfzderwehrmacht.de" Link to "club.caradisiac.com" http://wesworld.jk-clan.de/thread.php?postid=108287 Many of them have suicide doors. Besides, it is almost certain that this truck has been, a-hum, bricolé. So, the basis must be Panhard — engine, châssis, maybe part of the cabin too. But other things are replacements, the fenders, for instance. -- Last edit: 2013-08-26 15:32:24 |

All your examples show Panhard grilles in one piece whereas the movie truck has a frame of a two-piece grille. Such a grille with a well visible bar in the centre only came on post-war Panhard trucks, but those were, as far as I could find out, only COE's. Suicide doors or not is no issue; P&L and most other truck makers used both. I'm sure the cabin is French, I'm almost sure the whole thing is French, I cannot exclude Panhard & Levassor because the central barred grille might be a later ad-on, but I cannot find any clue why this must be a Panhard (& Levassor). Even though I'd really love to be it one (since I'm a Panhard driver myself ) |

Mmmh… I'll found a way… |

Rrrhhhwhat? It's not a P&L anymore? |

Mike, don't you find an air de famille with this one? /vehicle_201305-Panhard-and-Levassor-16CV-K24-1925.html |

Besides, it's neither minor action nor a short scene. |
