I think this is UK-built Allegro 3 HLS introduced Sept 79, 3-4 years after Innocenti Regent stopped. Has all the correct trim for a 3 including wheel trims and big bumpers which were too late for Regent.

No - it depended on trim level for 3 series. Poverty versions still had 2 rectangular, posh had 4 round. As far as I know same specification used for all markets. I can see where the question is going, whether this is Made for I but I can't say if it's a local car or a foreign visitor. All 3 series had wing indicators behind front wheel arch, so would not need additional lights.

Book comment that around this time Longbridge was being reworked for Metro launch so top-spec Allegro production for everywhere was shunted to Seneffe.
