That body style was available in all three versions. The Catalina was by far the biggest seller - over 90,000 vs about 9,000 Executives and about 20,000 Bonnevilles. Most of them had the model name on the front fender but it is missing here. |

i think that in 1968 the Catalina had the badge in front of the wheel... while the Executive and the Bonneville had badges between the wheel and the door, though if i'm wrong please do correct me. true though that the Catalina was the most common, as well as that the badge might quite likely just be missing. |

You are right about the placing of the badges. Both the Executive and the Catalina had PONTIAC in the left side of the grille where the Bonneville had BONNEVILLE. That badge is missing here. On the evidence here it is an Executive but I don't think we can be 100% sure. As an aside a quick way to tell a '68 from a '69 is that the '68 badge is above the trim line and the '69 is below. |
