...but it has got something strange or not original (especially the roof shape is awful) |

Pimped-out 1974+ Continental Mark IV |

It's a Mark IV mounted on some other chassis - the wheelbase has obviously changed. I suspect Corvorado-style treatment (Cadillac Eldorado body panels mounted on a Corvette). Perhaps it's sitting on a Mustang unibody? Les Dunham's work, perhaps? -Kurt -- Last edit: 2011-06-12 05:04:54 |

Just took a look at the movie as opposed to the screenshots. The rear quarter panels have the kickup of a 1971-73 Mustang convertible (see below), though the smoking gun are the '71-73 Mustang seats, visible when the passenger gets out of the car. The roof appears to be off the Mark IV, though if it is so, someone did a first-class sectioning job narrowing it, or found a way to shoehorn it onto the Mustang. It isn't a Mustang coupe or fastback roof, as the trim from the A-pillar to the roof is that of the Mark IV, not the Mustang. In short, 1971 Mustang Convertible as 1974 Lincoln Continental Mark IV. -Kurt -- Last edit: 2012-12-12 06:28:54 |

Looks like something Les Dunham/ Dunham Coach would do, but apparently it wasn't them. (comment for future reference) |
