From where the chassis code "LP7,5t" was taken. Actually, seems it is only used by IMCDb. Early ones (pre-1977) were 6 or later 8, 10 ton, but not 7. The smallest ones became 7t in 1977 I think. -- Last edit: 2011-02-24 21:56:05 |

7,5 tons was an important weight for the German market. For sure this truck was measured with that, too. With German pre-1999 car-driving-licenses you are allowed to drive trucks up to 7,5 tons. Cancelled in 1999 by annother EU-caused "assimilation", since then the line is at 3,5 tons. |
