I compared the front shot of the car with photos supplied to me by Rod Taylor of him with the car as used in "Powderkeg". It has the same minor dent in the radiator. You can see It in the upper right corner in the second photo here. You can also see the dent in the car used in "Summer Magic". So, this is the same car (then red & black) seen in that and other films: Wings of Eagles, The Donna Reed Show, My Mother the Car, Green Acres.I In this color scheme, it was seen in the 1968 film "Did you hear the one about the Travelling Salesman"...(which see). Then it was painted white for The Great White Hope..and left that way for Powderkeg. Also, there are not many about Bearcats with brass radiators (most are body colored) and even fewer in Hollywood. -- Last edit: 2020-10-08 04:49:20 |
