I think it could be Wolseley 6/90 Series I, from 1954. Edit - rear side window not right for 6/90 so it should be 1954 Wolseley 4/44 -- Last edit: 2006-06-11 13:26:43 |

...The only way I can see this is this is probably two different cars. Main picture is 6/90. Rear number plate light and full rear side window. Front view is also 6/90 side light position is lower. Side view, if it is a Wolseley, would be a 4/44. Rear quarterlite in rear-side door glass. Also this car has a fixed external sun-visor (or whatever they are called) main picture is without this, so is not the same car. There is also a chrome moulding in the C-pillar/Rear Glass area which is not from a Wolseley, another make entirely different. Anyone another idea? -- Last edit: 2006-06-11 13:44:51 |

The side view is I believe a Ford Consul Mk. II (or Zephyr/Zodiac). I don't know if its worth a separate listing?![]() As here. /vehicle_15585-Ford-Consul-1957.html -- Last edit: 2006-06-11 16:25:08 |

I was looking for Ford, but you were faster! As there are not that many cars listed for this film, why not add it? You gave a solid identification. Let's no_car decide. -- Last edit: 2006-06-11 16:30:29 |

892 FPC plate issued Feb-June 58, so this should have the bigger rear window as S3 from May 57 ... -- Last edit: 2011-10-08 03:32:38 |

Just seen the rerun and I would have expected a larger rear window on 892 FPC; '6/90' as clear on screen as in the still. (Film's final scene just a little contrived). -- Last edit: 2016-07-08 03:47:19 |

892 FPC is an old friend, and has an often seen sibling 894 FPC. Lots of comment on dates and S2/S3 question here. |
