In the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), Hagrid rode a Triumph Bonneville. In this one it's a Royal Enfield with a Watsonian sidecar. (See Youtube "Hagrid's Motorbike") -- Last edit: 2011-07-05 10:06:26 |

The vehicle details for GDO 558 are: Date of Liability 01 07 2000 Date of First Registration 11 03 1954 Year of Manufacture 1954 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 500cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Vehicle Colour NOT STATED Not a Bonneville, then? Or is it not the good plate? It might as well be the same as the one in the Philosopher's Stone, as that movie was filmed in 2000-01, and the filmmakers got it in their possession shortly before filming commenced. -- Last edit: 2011-12-05 00:37:28 |

I'd think that the engine and tail light appears to morden for 1954 |

Hardly, as its liability date was two months before principal photography of Philosopher's Stone began. |

And how many times before have we seen untaxed vehicles used in films? It's quite common as filming usually occurs on closed roads after all... |
