And a Peugeot 205 on the right. 1949 Pontiac + DAF MB 200 = Havana. ![]() |

Yes, it is weird to see these three different vehicles in the same picture. -- Last edit: 2010-12-04 20:47:44 |

The Peugeot 205 irritates me mostly - as it's Cuba, I would have expected rather a Lada or a Moskwich ![]() Are the DAF-buses used imports? The colour-sheme is identical as some Dutch bus-companies have it. O.k., as I remember from our family-vacations in the 70ies. |

There are lots of old Dutch buses in Cuba, e.g. http://www.bus-photo.net/showphoto.php/?id=3963 There also some old Pegaso buses from Spain, and used cars and vans from Europe that perhaps come from the same Spanish export dealers. |

It is supposed to be in Dominican Republic, not Cuba. ![]() |

For the Dom.Rep. it would be a much weirder mixture We even can see a (for Cuba typical) Lada - the light blue car, hidden by the Rickshaw in the middle. |

The main pucture and fifth thumbnail are definitely from Cuba. The yellow number plates (private vehicle) on the cars and blue plates (state owned) on the bus match Cuban plates: http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/world/CA_CUBA.html Domonican Republic plates are white. http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/world/CA_DOMR.html |

Peugeot does not seem unusual in Cuba cf /movie.php?id=441297#Comment187231 /vehicle_81038-Lada-2105-1981.html (there you have a Lada + a Peugeot ) -- Last edit: 2010-12-06 22:49:34 |

The lower hood bar/trim indicates it's a 1952 Pontiac. |
