I'm not sure that all 6 years identical from the rear. There was a grille change between the '89 and '90 models. Didn't they add the chrome band below the taillamp panel at the same time? If so, we can take 1988 and 1989 out of the mix. |

I looked at all of those years on Cardomain and it seems the only change to the tail lights were in 1994 but if you are sure I can happily change it. |

Contrast to here, Cieraguy: /vehicle_143399-Lincoln-Continental-1988.html Note absence of brightwork under the taillamps. The back-up lamp design changed, too. The question is, between what model years was the rear change made? -- Last edit: 2010-12-02 23:45:12 |

That one looks to be of European spec... I'm not saying you're wrong that the tail lights never changed but it is possible the Euro Continental (which I never knew existed) came uniquely with these tail lights. I have never seen a Continental in the US with lights like that. -- Last edit: 2010-12-04 22:12:24 |

Oh, I have seen many. In my opinion, the '88 and '89 had no chrome band under the taillamps while the '90 to '93 models did, as pictured. Changing to 1990. |
