Deluxe. I think 1965 a couple of years before panda car liveries started to appear (though Anglias were used as ordinary dark blue police cars thru the 60s) - anyone know when pandas first appeared?? |

The first Panda cars appeared around 1965 in Liverpool and they were Anglia's. There were two Panda cars used on Heartbeat. The first had to be restored in Series 10 when it was involved in a filming crash. Then the second one was replaced with the first, which used the registration of LAR 988C, in series 16. The actual LAR 988c Panda can be seen outside Scripps' Garage in Goathland. |

This car is still parked outside the old garage in Goathland, I saw it there the other day, but it just sits in the same spot behind a chain like it has done for years. It's a tourist attraction with an "actual TV car" flyer in the window, but it's in bad condition - several paint chips, cracks and rusty patches full of mold & grime all over the body. Really sad, they won't sell it, but hopefully it'll get a proper restoration like the two other 105E Anglias in the village! - One of them another Police car! -- Last edit: 2015-09-25 19:01:48 |

seen in 2009 TV programme at /vehicle.php?id=1138816, but has the Sept 65 separate front indicators/sidelights and modified grille format which lasted a year, unlike the film car with previous style combined white sidelights/indicators. So not the same one. |

Witchcraft during filming now proved, as shows the Sept 65 separate front indicators/sidelights and modified grille format which lasted a year, unlike the other postings with previous style combined white sidelights/indicators. So (at least) 2 cars used in filming. |

Ep 13.23, 2 Has Sept 65 separate front indicators/sidelights and modified grille format which lasted a year, unlike some other postings with previous style combined white sidelights/indicators. So more confirmation for ^ that (at least) 2 cars used in filming. |
