Couldn't they destroyed the "The Judge"? |

I’m pretty sure they wanted a rollover for the dramatic flare it provides, they just didn’t have a good reason for causing the rollover. Speeders run across spike strips (I’ve also heard them called "stop sticks") all the time and don’t rollover. The FX crew used an air cannon to induce the rollover, or so it appears. |

I think if you turn as you hit them, you can cause the wheels to blow out, causing the car to roll. |

I liked how the guys were inexplicably evil and it wasn't possible to see how many were inside. |

GTO Judge. I'm sure it's a Tempest or LeMans-based replica, since it's doubtful any production company would fork over the $50,000-$60,000 that a clean '71 Judge would command just to roll the car over. The single muffler visible in the flip scene also gives me pause. I'm pretty sure dual mufflers were standard GTO equipment. |

I was watching this episode and paused when the underside was visible and I'm almost positive it had a dual in/ single out Flowmaster muffler and there also appeared to be long tube headers, just thought that was kind of funny. But I was certain GTO's came with true dual exhausts as well so surely this was just a replica. -- Last edit: 2013-01-18 03:50:30 |

Although it's terrible to watch a classic Pontiac get destroyed for any reason, fans of the show and 'the judge' should appreciate the subtle tie-in of 'Judgment Day' being upon the characters of the show. Rick was shot by the occupants of the judge and when he reawakens he has evidently survived judgment day. Kind of clever if you ask me. |
