Why exactly this model (F-engine and wheelbase #0)? |

The longwheelbase Land Cruiser stationwagon FJ60 is the round headlight version that preceded the FJ62 4 rectangular light version. Before that was the FJ55. I do not know the meaning of the FJ but that is how the trucks are named...40, 45, 55, 60,62, 80 etc... |

Meaning of "FJ" (ie, FJ40/45, FJ55, FJ60/62, FJ80, FZJ80) "F" refers to the motor type. Early FJ40's and 55's have the "F", a 3.9L inline 6. Later FJ40's, 55's and 60's have the "2F", 4.2L inline 6 FJ62's and FJ80's have the "3F", 4.0L inline 6, or the "3F-E", a 4.0L fuel injected inline 6. The FZJ80 has the "1FZ-FE", 4.5L DOHC inline 6 "J" refers to the name/model of the vehicle. In this case, "J" means Land Cruiser. There are other letters associated with other Toyota vehicles. The numbers "40/45/55/60/62/80" refer to the model style. So, lets put this together. "FZ/J/80" refers to a 93-97 Land Cruiser with the "1FZ-FE" motor. "F/J/62" refers to a 1988-90 Land Cruiser with the "3F-E" motor. -- Last edit: 2007-09-10 06:45:03 |

There is also the BJ Land cruiser, which is more of a Jeep style with a short wheelbase. |
